FocusCard A focus app for iOS
Support
How to get the most out of FocusCard.
Pick a task, see it big, glance at it whenever you drift, tap to dismiss when done. That's the whole app.
How it works
- Pick one task. Open FocusCard. Your iOS Reminders are grouped by list. Tap the one you want to focus on.
- See it big. The screen turns black, the task fills it, everything else disappears.
- Keep it in sight. The screen stays awake. The task also appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- Tap when done. "Mark Complete" checks it off in Reminders. Tap anywhere else to pause.
Common questions
Is FocusCard designed for ADHD?
Not built only for ADHD, but it's a strong fit. FocusCard puts one task in front of you and keeps it visible whether you're in the app or not. That's the kind of scaffolding many ADHD brains rely on. Same goes for anyone doing deep work: long stretches where any distraction is expensive.
Why don't I see all my reminders?
Tap the gear icon (top-left) → check the Show reminders from section. Toggle on the lists you want included. Lists you've never touched are on by default. Lists you've turned off stay off until you turn them back on.
I marked something complete by mistake. How do I undo?
Tap the Undo button in the toast that appears at the bottom of the screen — you have 4 seconds. After that, open the Reminders app → Completed → tap the reminder to mark it incomplete again.
How do I add a new task?
FocusCard reads from iOS Reminders rather than maintaining its own task list. To add a task, use the iOS Reminders app — there's a "Add or edit tasks in Reminders" link at the bottom of the FocusCard list to jump straight there.
The Live Activity isn't appearing on my Lock Screen.
Make sure Live Activities are enabled system-wide: Settings → Face ID & Passcode → Live Activities must be on. Also check that your active iOS Focus mode isn't suppressing Live Activities.
Does FocusCard work on iPad?
Not yet — version 1 is iPhone only. iPad support is on the roadmap.
Does FocusCard sync between devices?
FocusCard reads from iOS Reminders, which already syncs across your devices via iCloud (if you have iCloud Reminders enabled). Open FocusCard on another iPhone signed into the same iCloud account and you'll see the same reminders.
Will the screen really stay awake the whole focus session?
Yes — that's the whole point. The screen stays on as long as the focus card is showing. Pressing the side button locks the phone manually if you want, and the Live Activity continues to display the task on your Lock Screen.
Does FocusCard collect any data?
No. See the Privacy Policy. The whole app runs on your device.
